5/20/2018 0 Comments We Rise LA 2018!We Rise LA is an inspiring 10-day festival of art, music, & community building in LA, centered around mental health for youth! The festival kicked-off Saturday at the We Rise LA Rally! From food trucks, performances, live art, open community talks, & speeches; the event was a special one that left me feeling empowered & aware. Mental health is a serious issue that 1 in 5 teens in LA deal with. We as a community need to be held accountable and start working together to reimagine what’s possible. Rapper Common shed light on the issues by saying we need “to make sure we stay open to mental wellness... & remember we’re gonna be alright.” The rally was definitely an awesome start to an amazing 10-day festival. Be sure to check out the full calendar of events, over at WERISE.LA and stay connected on social media: @werise_la ! Made possible by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.
